What Scribe does

Scribe writes the first draft of your minutes.

After a project meeting, someone has to write the minutes. That usually takes an afternoon in Word. You sort your notes under each agenda item, update the action items, and check last meeting's minutes for anything still open.

Scribe does that first pass for you, from the meeting transcript. You review the draft and send it out.

How it works

From the meeting to issued minutes.

  1. 01

    Record the meeting

Record in Teams or Zoom and save the transcript. You can also run the meeting in Scribe with Live Mode.

  2. 02

    Add the transcript

Drop the transcript on the agenda. Scribe drafts notes under each item that came up, and lists the action items and decisions. Each note shows the time in the recording it came from.

  3. 03

    Check the draft

New notes show in purple until you confirm them. You can edit a note, hide it from the export, or ask Scribe to shorten it.

  4. 04

    Send the minutes

Export the minutes to Word, ready to send to the project team.

Live Mode

Run the meeting from the agenda.

Put the agenda on screen and start Live Mode. The arrow keys move you from item to item, and the up and down keys jump between sections. Scribe logs the time you reach each item.

Type notes in the sidebar as you go. Each note attaches to the item you're on. Mark a note private to keep it out of the minutes. You can take attendance with Present and Regrets buttons, and lock the agenda so no one edits it by mistake.

When the meeting ends, add the transcript. Scribe drafts the minutes from it and from your public notes.

The next agenda

Your next agenda starts from these minutes.

Scribe builds the next agenda from the minutes. Each item carries forward with its latest notes, and open action items stay on the list.

Then add your project documents as PDFs: the RFI log, submittal log, SI report or look-ahead schedule. Scribe reads them against the agenda and suggests changes. Each suggestion names the document and reference it came from. You choose which ones to add.

Questions

Common questions

Who is Scribe for?

Whoever writes the minutes on a construction project. That's often the owner's representative, the project manager, the contract administrator or the construction manager.

Does Scribe join the call?

No. You record the meeting the way you do now, then give Scribe the transcript.

How is it different from a meeting note-taker?

AI enhanced note-takers write a summary of the conversation. Scribe writes the minutes: numbered items under your agenda, action items with owners and due dates, and notes that carry from meeting to meeting. You export them to Word.

Does Scribe know our project?

Yes. You give it the people, firms and terms on your project, and it uses them in every draft.
